Public Enemies

(2009) Johnny Depp, Christian Bale

Johnny Depp is pretty damn cool in a trilby. The film consistently demonstrates how one might break out of a 1930's prison with considerable ease. Bit long though.

The Hangover

(2009) Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms

It's basically Bachelor Party, only Bachelor Party is much better (ask your dad). It's like a video tour guide for Vegas in places. Bradley Cooper and the rest of the guys give good performances, but they definitely don't make comedies like they used to.

Adventureland

(Sept, 2009) Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart

Don't expect a load of laughs, coz the humour doesn't match up to Superbad. It's a sweet story but some of the characters lacked depth. Great soundtrack... don't think i've ever heard David Bowie's 'Modern Love' on a movie soundtrack ever!

Revolutionary Road

(2008) Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet

Don’t watch this movie if you are: a) having a marriage crisis or b) completely depressed. Kate and Leo give good performances but I’ve seen better.

In Bruges

(2008) Colin Farrell, Ralph Fiennes
It's dark, funny and sad. Colin Farrell's best performance by far, he karate chops a dwarf. Must be seen!

The Dark Knight

(2008) Christian Bale, Heath Ledger

A rarity! Comic book movie with great acting and storyline. Ledger is brilliant, Bale gets to work out some aggression. All this and Michael Caine. Brilliant!

Batman Begins

(2005) Christian Bale, Michael Caine

Thank god, a good Batman film. Bale has managed to resurrect the caped crusader from the mess left by Clooney in Batman and Robin. Well worth watching!

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

(2009) Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber

I expected more from this. Wolverine is bad ass and fights Ryan Reynolds half naked, that’s about it really.

Sin City

(2005) Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba

Unique! Looks and feels like a comic book! Great film, gave us back Micky Rourke and a few may have noticed Jessica Alba dancing in chaps.

Donnie Darko

(2001) Jake Gyllenhaal, Holmes Osborne

Weird! Anyone who says they understand this film is a liar! Worth trying to figure out though.
